Soulacious “Soulacious is one of the most creative, unique, talented bands I have seen in quite a long time. The live show is just incredible.” -Jesse Fennelly, WDJM 91.3 FM “Every time I see Soulacious, they sound better and tighter than before. They always make sure the crowd is having a good time.” -Gordy, Grand Central Station “Soulacious has a great groove– check them out.” -Roger “Bear” Caissie, High Voltage Sound Rock, Pop, Funk, and Blues are just a few of the ingredients that make up the sound of Soulacious. Officially founded at the turn of the millennium after winning the Framingham State College Battle of the Bands, Soulacious has been quickly winning over large amounts of fans with their catchy blend of vocal harmonies, funky rhythms, and straight-ahead rock attitude. In a short period of time, Soulacious have well established themselves in the Framingham area, and that reputation is quickly spreading its way into Boston, Worcester, Taunton, Rhode Island and Cape Cod. The live show that Soulacious puts on fits well into most musical scenes, performing as a high energy level rock band with a flare of Pop, Funk and Blues. Soulacious have been known to play covers ranging from top 40 to classic rock and they also appeal to there audiences with their own original music such as Rock tracks like Every Road, Funk/Blues tracks like Doorway, and they even show a little heart with Pop Ballad type songs like Those Times Are Over. The band always has a song to excite their crowd, as proven by their self-titled demo CD. Soulacious ability to perform for any style of crowd is a strong point for the band; having a diverse library of covers and originals, the band can cater the style of music they play to whatever the venue calls for. Soulacious has opened for big name acts such as Entrain, Jiggle, and Dave Mathews cover band, The Tripping Billies. Headed by lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Joe Sorrentino who founded the band just before graduating from Framingham State College while working as Manager at the College radio Station 91.3 WDJM, he met drummer James Santosuosso. Shortly later while attending Ai New England Joe met Lead guitarist Dave Pepin who introduced Joe to Bassist Chris Wilson. As a young group, the band plays very tight, and their ever-expanding stage experience and musical repertoire provide Soulacious with all the tools they need to put on a great show that can be enjoyed by all.
