A teenage band from Vicenza, Italy, that formed in 2004, Lost became a sensation among the Italian MySpace music community with the posting of their video “My” in 2006. Producer Matteo Franzan quickly signed the band and, together with artistic director Stefano Florio, refashioned the boys’ initial punk rock allegiances into a teen pop outfit. In mid-2007, their first single, “Oggi,” became a staple on MTV Italy, with the video remaining at number one for three months on Total Request Live. Lost achieved enormous popularity with teenage Italian girls, both in the band’s public performances and on Internet sites and forums. Their first album, xD, was released in early 2008. It entered the charts at number 27, becoming the fastest-selling debut album in Italy. The bandmembers are Walter Fontana (vocals), Filippo “Spez” Spezzapria (drums), Giulio Dalla Stella (guitar), Luca Donazzan (bass), and Roberto “Roby” Visentin (guitar).
