After riding a wave of success with counterculture icons The Kottonmouth Kings that included hitting #39 on the Billboard Top 200, headlining this year’s Cannabis Cup, and gracing the cover of High Times magazine, the dynamic duo of D-Loc and Johnny Richter have returned to wreak havoc once again on April 24th, 2007 with P.T.B., the long-awaited sophomore effort from the pair’s side-project Kingspade.
“P.T.B. stands for P-Town Ballers, which is the name of our basketball squad from high school and college. We just transferred that over when we started rapping to the name of our crew,” says D-Loc. “We used it long before the term ballin’ was used as a money term. It was more about basketball and having fun for us. That was our original click we had when we first started rapping and we don’t forget where we come from.”
