About JJ & Dre
JJ & Dre — Chicago Rock & Roll w/ Soul
JJ & Dre initially formed in Chicago, IL as a trio in 2011 when the husband and wife duo of Justin and Andrea Dotoli met Jason Paradise at the city’s legendary Vic Theater. The J.J. & Dre Trio spent most of 2011 performing in and around the Chicagoland area as a trio.
In 2012 they released their first full length studio album, One Single Event, as well as added keyboardist/percussionist Eric Allen to the band. Allen’s versatility and soulful songwriting quickly became an influential element and added another style to their diverse musical pallet. In 2013, JJ & Dre rounded out its lineup with the additions of Michael Schroeder and Andy Neel on drums and bass respectively.
The band has become a musical amalgamation of Rock and Soul. In 2013, JJ & Dre released their second album, an EP called The Bandits. This album is indicative of the band’s growth and progress, but on stage is where the band is at their best.
