About Four Lean Hounds
Four Lean Hounds plays acoustic music of the Grateful Dead. Veterans of the Philly music scene, these musicians love to show off their affinity for the songcraft and vocal harmonies of the early era of GD music. They also offer a nod to the bluegrass and folk influences endemic to the sound. While the band loves to jam, the focus is more on recreating and rediscovering the beauty of American music that transformed generations, and coaxing the audience to sing along for the ride.
