About Daniela Mercury
1965 Daniela Mercury is born on July 28 under the sign of Leo in the city of Salvador.
1973 She begins to study dance.
1980 She begins singing in bars in Salvador.
1981 She make her debut as a trio elétrico singer during Salvadors carnaval.
1984 She begins to study dance professionally at the Federal University of Bahias School of Dance.
1985 Her first child is born: Gabriel Almeida Povoas.
1986 Daughter, Giovana Almeida Povoas is born. Mercury is invited to sing in Bloco Eva and thus begins her definitive incursion in the circuit of the most popular carnaval blocos.
1989 Mercury forms the pop band Companhia Clic, with whom she records two albums (89/90).
1990 While leading Companhia Clic, Mercury directs Bloco Pinel.
1991 Mercury releases her self-titled solo debut and directs an independent trio during Carnaval, as the only singer.
1992 Mercury releases O Canto da Cidade her second album. She continues leading an independent trio.
1993 The singer releases Música de Rua, her third album and takes command of Bloco Os Internacionais, which opens the procession of blocos during Salvadors Carnaval. Mercury becomes a star on the European stage and performs for the first time in the United States in New Yorks The Ritz.
