About Cheme Gastelum
Currently living in New York, Cheme Gastelum manages to stay involved with various West Coast projects and bands. Touring primarily with Robert Walter’s 20th Congress, Cheme has been establishing himself across the United States as a serious player in the jazz-funk scene for many years. Versed in modern improvisational techniques coupled with traditions in bebop and hardbop, Cheme quickly made himself an important element of the IN CASE OF FIRE studio sessions. His interest in the true-fusion music of today, involving all styles, constantly leads him to exciting territories of musical expression.
