From jam band roots and electronica influence, Absynth brings a new groove to the traditional live performance. The instrumental three piece creates a unique blend of improvisational jams with intense break beats and dynamic melodies. “Absynth is breaking musical boundaries and giving people an experience they wont forget.” – Dave Melosh, Medusa Productions.
Absynth has been experimenting with new sounds and equipment, taking their music to the next level. The Band is currently in the process of producing their first independent CD, which be will released in the fall of 2006, with a west coast tour to follow.
Formed in 2003 behind the scenic backdrop of Lake Tahoe California. Absynth is : Adam Northway on drums, Dustin Johnson on guitar, and James Cooke on bass and keys.
“My indicator for a jamming party is how often I have to straighten the bottles on my shelves. If people are really grooving then the dance floor is bouncing, the walls are shaking, and bottles start shifting. I know that Absynth will always pull a six or seven on the Richter scale, now thats a good party!” – Brian Levy, Owner of Divided Sky, Meyers, California
