ZZ Ward Releases Soulful Single ‘Tin Cups’ Featuring Aloe Blacc
Hear ZZ Ward’s first new music since 2020.

ZZ Ward shared a new single, “Tin Cups,” featuring Aloe Blacc. The song will land on the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming 2023 album.
“Tin Cups” is ZZ’s first new music since 2020 after welcoming her son Ezra with husband Evan Kidd Bogart in February 2021. Ward co-wrote the new single with Bogart as well as Clarence Coffee Jr. and Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou.
“‘Tin Cups’ is about the inability to let yourself love someone,” Ward noted. “Writing this song was deeply personal and I hope it will resonate with others the way it does with me. I’ve had relationships fall victim to a lack of vulnerability and hesitancy to truly let someone in. It is often difficult to dig down deep and find the strength to open your heart again.”
Ward also commented on working with Aloe Blacc:
“The addition of Aloe elevated this song and added depth that only an artist of his caliber can. He has a way of evoking emotion through his vocals that is a rare quality for one to possess.”
