Zach Bryan Covers Little Feat’s ‘Roll Um Easy’ At Red Rocks

Zach Bryan headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver on Sunday and performed a cover of Little Feat’s “Roll Um Easy.” The concert featured several guests joining Bryan onstage, including Kings Of Leon’s Caleb Followill, who accompanied a performance of the newly shared single, “Bowery.”

Jack Van Cleaf was joined by Bryan during the former’s opening set. The headliner appeared for “Rattlesnake,” a song he recently recorded with Van Cleaf for his JVC album that came out in May.

Opening act Ocie Elliott was brought back out during Bryan’s set for the duo to help out on “28,” from his 2024 album, The Great American Bar Scene. A few songs later, Gabriella Rose emerged for “Madeline,” Bryan’s single from last month that she featured on.

Bryan’s latest single, “Bowery,” which was recorded with Kings Of Leon, arrived last Friday (August 8). Kings Of Leon supported Bryan last month at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which saw Followill onstage with Bryan during Bruce Springsteen’s surprise appearance.

Near the end of the main set, two fans who arrived at Red Rocks at 2 a.m. to get in line for the show were summoned from the audience to join Bryan for “Heading South.” The pair of fans went from ticketless hopefuls to singing next to Bryan at Red Rocks.

The night ended with a typically rambunctious “Revival” and Bryan welcoming his grandma onto the Red Rocks stage for the rowdy finale.

Sunday’s setlist included Bryan’s recently premiered take on Warren Zevon’s “Lawyers, Guns & Money.” Another cover came in the form of Bryan’s first public performance of Little Feat’s “Roll Um Easy.” The late Little Feat co-founder Lowell George wrote “Roll Um Easy” for the band’s third album, 1973’s Dixie Chicken.
