Yonder Mountain String Band & Greensky Bluegrass Share Red Rocks Stage

On Friday night Red Rocks was the site of an impressive triple bill which featured Yonder Mountain String Band along with Greensky Bluegrass and Fruition at the majestic Morrison, Colorado amphitheater. As expected, the night included collaboration between the likeminded bluegrass groups.

Yonder’s headlining two-set performance came after Fruition and Greensky warmed up the audience with lively opening sets. YMSB played a typical blend of covers – including takes on The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and Dolly Parton – and originals presenting several songs off their recently issued album Black Sheep. For Yonder’s encore they brought out Greensky Bluegrass to assist on “Traffic Jam” before moving into Greensky’s staple “Jaywalking.” The show concluded with both bands transitioning back into “Traffic Jam.”
