On Saturday at this year’s Northwest String Summit in Oregon, Yonder Mountain String Band honored Pink Floyd with a few of their musical friends. The five-piece was joined by drummer Jay Elliott and keyboardist Asher Fulero for a complete performance of Floyd’s famed 1977 album Animals as well as an encore featuring two more Pink Floyd covers.
Elliott and Fulero emerged at the end of Saturday’s first YMSB set for “Remind Me” and “Criminal.” The pair then joined the group for a second set featuring all of Animals including “Pigs On The Wing,” “Dogs,” “Sheep” and more. For the encore, the five-piece and their friends said farewell with a “Fearless”/”Wish You Were Here” encore.
