Yonder Mountain String Band’s Adam Aijala & Nick Piccininni Honor Tony Rice

Yonder Mountain String Band’s Adam Aijala and Nick Piccininni paid tribute to acclaimed guitarist Tony Rice, who died on December 25. Aijala and Piccininni shared video of “Cold On the Shoulder” to honor Rice.

Gordon Lightfoot originally wrote “Cold On The Shoulder.” Rice included the song on his 1984 album of the same name which included contributions from his fellow bluegrass greats like Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Vassar Clements, Jerry Douglas and more. The Yonder duo’s homage to Rice sees guitarist Adam Aijala singing with usual mandolinist Nick Piccininni playing guitar and lending his voice as well.
