Yo La Tengo Shares Sweet New Single ‘Aselestine’

Georgia Hubley sings the latest preview of the band’s upcoming album, This Stupid World.

Yo La Tengo released a new single, “Aselestine.” The song appears on the band’s upcoming album, This Stupid World, which comes out on February 10 through Matador Records.

Drummer Georgia Hubley sings lead on “Aselestine,” the second single off This Stupid World. The trio – Hubley, Ira Kaplan and James McNew – previously shared the lead single, “Fallout.” The nine-track This Stupid World is the first Yo La Tengo full-length release since 2018’s There’s A Riot Going On.

Yo La Tengo will tour in support of This Stupid World beginning on February 15 in Seattle. The tour continues across the U.S., wrapping in Minneapolis on March 26. YLT will then embark on a European tour spanning April 10 to May 4.

“Aselestine” made its live debut on opening night of Yo La Tengo’s recent annual Hanukkah run in New York City. Watch the “Aselestine” visualizer below:
