On April 21 Woods will release a new album Love Is Love through their Woodsist label. The band has shared the single “Bleeding Blue” and announced several new tour dates in support of the forthcoming LP.
A quick follow-up to 2016’s City Sun Eater In The River Of Light, the six tracks making up Love Is Love were composed during the two months after last November’s U.S. presidential election. Woods shared a lengthy essay penned by Sam Hockley-Smith with the announcement of Love Is Love, which read in part, “It is a document of protest in uncertain times and an open-hearted rejection of cynicism in favor of emotional honesty. It is bright, and then, unexpectedly, a little dark sometimes too.”
Woods confirmed a number of additional shows on their upcoming schedule. Among the new dates are stops in Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Asheville, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York City. Head here to pre-order Love Is Love and listen below to the NPR premiered single “Bleeding Blue”:
