The Wood Brothers :: 2.3.16 :: Massry Center For The Arts :: Albany, NY
The Wood Brothers brought their just-started tour to Albany’s Massry Center for the Arts on Friday night. The sold out crowd could barely contain themselves as the band took the stage. The audience is almost always seated here, but they danced at the top of the venue until about half way through the show when the area in front of the stage and the aisles were littered with people dancing and enjoying themselves completely. Chris Wood, Oliver Wood and Jano Rix loved seeing it happen and fed off the energy.
The band is already on fire despite it being the beginning of the tour. “One More Day” was a highlight of the show with all three members having their moment to wow the crowd with their mastery of their instruments. The opening act, T Sisters, were brought out to help during the one mic portion of the show, where all of the other mics on stage were turned off to bring the show back in time for a little. Ending the show with a cover of The Band’s “Ophelia” sent the crowd home happy.
