Willie Nelson Announces New Album ‘A Beautiful Time’ & Shares Single

Willie Nelson will continue his prolific ways with the release of a new studio album entitled A Beautiful Time on April 29 via Sony Legacy Recordings. The outlaw country legend previewed the 14-track LP by dropping its opening song, “I’ll Love You Till the Day I Die.”

A Beautiful Time, which arrives on Willie’s 89th birthday, features five songs Nelson wrote with longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon. The album also includes tunes penned by Shawn Camp, Chris Stapleton, Jack Wesley Routh and others as well as covers of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends” and Leonard Cohen’s “Tower Of Song.”

Willie Nelson sings and plays his trusty Trigger guitar on the Buddy Cannon-produced A Beautiful Time. Nelson is accompanied on eight tracks by a core ensemble consisting of keyboardist Jim “Moose” Brown, harmonica player Mickey Raphael, drummer Fred Elringham, bassist Barry Bales and guitarists James Mitchell and Bob Terry. Additional contributors include vocalist Melonie Cannon, drummers Chad Cromwell and Lonnie Wilson, guitarist Bobby Terry, bassist Kevin “Swine” Grantt and keyboardist Catherine Marx.

“I’ll Love You Till the Day I Die” finds Nelson performing a new song written by Chris Stapleton and Rodney Crowell. The track arrived with a video featuring images from Nelson’s Luck Ranch property. Watch the clip below:
