Willie Nelson, Lukas Nelson & Micah Nelson Share New Singles

On October 20 Legacy Recordings will issue Willie Nelson And The Boys (Willie’s Stash, Vol. 2) featuring outlaw country legend Willie Nelson and his sons Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson. The family trio has shared a pair of songs they recorded for the album.

The 12-track new record follows the first volume in the Willie’s Stash series, 2014’s December Day, which featured Willie’s sister Bobbie Nelson. Hank Williams Sr. penned seven of the songs covered on Willie Nelson And The Boys, with additional compositions written by Hank Cochran, Hank Locklin, Hank Snow, Fred Rose and Alyssa Miller.

Produced by Buddy Cannon and recorded at Pedernales Recording Studio in Austin, the upcoming LP includes contributions from harmonica player Mickey Raphael, bassist Kevin “Swine” Grantt, guitarist Bobby Terry, keyboardist Jim “Moose” Brown, steel guitarist Mike Johnson and drummer Tony Creasman. Upright bassist Barry Bales and drummer Lonnie Wilson also make appearances and the track “Move It On Over” includes vocals provided by the Spur Of The Moment Singers made up of Cannon, Raphael, Grantt, Terry, Brown, Johnson, Creasman, Melonie Cannon and Shannon Finnegan.
