Outlaw country patriarch Willie Nelson worked with his sons Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson on their newly issued album Willie Nelson And The Boys (Willie’s Stash Vol. 2). Another video featuring the Nelsons performing “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain” is now available to view.

Produced by the eldest Nelson’s regular collaborator Buddy Cannon, the record includes covers of songs written by Hank Cochran, Hank Locklin, Hank Snow, Fred Rose and Alyssa Miller. The Nelsons were joined on the new album by harmonica player Mickey Raphael, guitarist Bobby Terry, bassist Kevin “Swine” Grantt, keyboardist Jim “Moose” Brown, steel guitarist Mike Johnson and drummer Tony Creasman. Additional contributions came from upright bassist Barry Bales and drummer Lonnie Wilson.

Though it didn’t appear on Willie’s Stash Vol. 2, the newly shared video features Willie, Micah and Lukas performing “Blues Eyes Crying In The Rain.” Willie recorded the song written by Fred Rose for his 1975 Red Headed Stranger album, and it was the first song he taught Lukas to play on guitar.
