Willie Nelson Honors John Lennon With ‘Imagine’

On Saturday night, music legend Willie Nelson will be one of many artists coming together at NYC’s Theater at Madison Square Garden for Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert. In a preview of the event, Willie has shared a video featuring his beautiful rendition of Lennon’s “Imagine.”

Nelson’s trademark vocals and strumming on his signature Trigger guitar are at the heart of the emotional cover. Willie originally recorded the cover for the Lennon tribute album Instant Karma: The Campaign To Save Darfur. The accompanying video includes footage shot across the globe including a touching moment in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Take a look:

Peter Frampton, Aloe Blacc, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow and Steven Tyler are among the other artists set to perform at the Lennon tribute on Saturday.
