Wilco has shared a stream of a “Space Oddity” soundboard recording from February 5 at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre:

Official recordings of both Wilco Brooklyn performances and other live shows are available for purchase via Roadcase.

Wilco brought their tour to Brooklyn, New York Friday night for the first of two sold-out shows at Kings Theatre. Last evening’s performance was capped with the band’s debut cover of “Space Oddity” by David Bowie.

Jeff Tweedy and the band opened the show in typical form by playing their 2015 album Star Wars in its entirety. The rest of the show spanned the group’s catalog of originals hitting on fan favorites such as “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart,” “Heavy Metal Drummer,” “Kamera” and “The Late Greats” – among a handful of others.

Wilco also stuck to their recent stripped-down acoustic approach to the night’s encore. It was in this set-up that they delivered originals “Misunderstood.” “I’m Always In Love” and “A Shot In The Arm” before the debut of Bowie’s “Space Oddity” which brought the show to an end.

Footage of the cover was captured by sfjldj and can be seen below:

Wilco takes the stage in Brooklyn at Kings Theatre again tonight.
