This week Chicago-based rock group Wilco will appear on the British live performance program Later … With Jools Holland. The band is scheduled to perform on the episode airing on BBC Two on Tuesday, October 25.
Wilco previously were guests on the show hosted by Squeeze keyboardist Jools Holland in 2002 and again in 2007. The 2002 episode featured Norah Jones, while Tuesday’s musical guests include Jones’ half-sister Anoushka Shankar, singer-songwriter Emeli Sande, electro-pop singer-songwriter MØ, art-rockers Warpaint and singer and pianist Regina Spektor.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Jones shared the following note regarding her Jools Holland appearance in 2002, stating:
When I was first on the show everyone else was well known and I wasn’t. I remember having tunnel vision, telling myself: ‘Just look at your piano, don’t look at Wilco.’
