Widespread Panic Throws In Fitting Song Choices On 4/20 In Chattanooga

Georgia rockers Widespread Panic continued Spring Tour last night at Soldiers And Sailors Memorial Hall in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The band filled the setlist with classics and threw in a few fitting song choices considering it was the stoner holiday of 4/20.

Widespread Panic kicked off the first set with “The Take Out” followed by “Junior,” “Porch Song” and “Visiting Day.” Up next was “Can’t Get High” though we have a feeling that wasn’t the case for some in attendance at last night’s show. The hour-long set continued with “Pickin’ Up The Pieces,” “1×1” and “Tickle The Truth” ahead of a “Pleas” > “Love Tractor” pairing. Last night’s second set was highlighted by a dream sequence of “Arleen” > “Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys” > “Fishwater” > “Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys.” JB rapped in “Arleen” as he tends to do and the song featured a “High Time We Went” tease.

For the encore, Panic led off with the evening’s final 4/20 referencing song: a cover of Van Morrison’s “And It Stoned Me.” The band then said farewell with “Postcard.” Widespread Panic Spring Tour moves on to North Charleston, South Carolina tomorrow night.
