At the end of April, White Denim performed a live set on KCRW, the Santa Monica, California-based public radio station. As part of the Morning Becomes Eclectic show hosted by Jason Bentley, the Austin-based four-piece performed a number of songs and conducted a brief interview over the span of 30 minutes.

The first half of the band’s radio appearance saw the group perform “Backseat Driver” and “Moves On” off 2018’s Performance, “Shake Shake Shake” off 2009’s Fits, “Drug” off 2011’s D and “Reversed Mirror”, a new song off the band’s latest album Side Effects. During the interview portion, the group primarily focused on discussing Side Effects, which was released at the end of March, as well as speaking on their rich history across seven albums and 11 years. To close out the half-hour, the band offered electrifying takes on “Shanalala,” “Fine Slime” and “Hallelujah Strike Gold.”
