‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Shares ‘The Hamilton Polka’

“Weird Al” Yankovic shared a video for his song, “The Hamilton Polka.” The video features clips from the new Hamilton movie that’s streaming on Disney+.
“Here’s a video for ‘The Hamilton Polka’ that I put together using clips from the new Hamilton movie (which is streaming right now on Disney+)!” wrote Yankovic. “Huge thanks to Lin-Manuel, Tommy Kail, and the rest of my Ham pals for creating the best thing ever.”

Among those joining Yankovic in watching Hamilton last weekend was guitarist Trey Anastasio. In an Instagram post, Anastasio singled out Hamilton actor Jon Rua who has collaborated with Anastasio and Phish on a number of occasions, including the Broadway musical Hands On A Hardbody. Rua was also the main wombat onstage with Phish on Halloween 2013, choreographed the “Turtles In The Cloud” dance sequence Anastasio and bassist Mike Gordon debuted on Halloween 2018 and Rua was Trey’s #1 clone at Phish’s most recent New Year’s Eve concert.
Trey also called out Hamilton musician Andrés Forero who played percussion on Phish’s album Big Boat and joined the band on New Year’s Eve 2016. Check out Anastasio’s post below:
