‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, Finn Wolfhard & Others To Perform ‘Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory In Concert’

“Weird Al” Yankovic, Finn Wolfhard, John Stamos and others will appear together as part of the two-night “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory In Concert At The Hollywood Bowl: A Live-To-Film Celebration.” The concert events will take place at the famed Hollywood Bowl on November 3 and 4.
According to an exclusive report by Variety, Yankovic will portray Oompa Loompas, while Stranger Things and It actor/musician Wolfhard will play the role of Charlie Bucket in the live adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic novel. Stamos was cast as Willy Wonka and Elle King will appear as Veruca Salt. The concerts will see Giancarlo Esposito performing as The Candy Man, Richard Kind playing Grandpa Joe and Ingrid Michaelson portraying Mrs. Bucket. DeVotchka will serve as the house band for the concerts, with a musical ensemble led by conductor Jeff Hoeppner and DeVotcka’s Nick Urata serving as musical director.
The concerts are being presented in “Smell-O-Rama,” which Variety detailed as “attendees will be presented with exclusive Scratch-N-Sniff Golden Tickets. The concert will also feature a factory of treats, including a costume contest and special projections on the surface of the Bowl created by acclaimed painter, designer, and illustrator Shag.”
