Weezer Enlists Modest Mouse, Spoon & More For Indie Rock Road Trip Tour

Weezer will embark on the inaugural Indie Rock Road Trip tour this summer. The 30-city run will find Modest Mouse, Spoon, Future Islands, White Reaper, Joyce Manor and Momma rotating support duties.

The trek begins with Modest Mouse and Momma opening for Weezer at The Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama on June 4. Modest Mouse and Momma hold down the support role over the next two weeks including stops in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan.

After a few days off, the excursion resumes June 23 – July 4 with Weezer joined by Future Islands and Joyce Manor in Columbia (Maryland), Charlotte, Alpharetta (Georgia), Philadelphia, Bridgeport (Connecticut), Bangor (Maine), Worcester (Massachusetts), Canandaigua (New York) and Toronto. Future Island hops off in Gary, Indiana on July 9 but are back in place for shows in Pittsburgh on July 11 and New York City on July 13.

Weezer’s final leg of the tour is a West Coast run featuring Spoon and White Reaper as support. The Indie Rock Road Trip trek hits Auburn, Washington on August 20 and Bend, Oregon on August 22. Additional shows follow in Berkeley (California) on August 24, Magna (Utah) on August 27, Denver on August 28, Phoenix on August 30, Las Vegas on September 1, Irvine (California) on September 2 and San Diego on September 3.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. local time. A presale is slated for Wednesday, March 1 at 11 a.m. local time. Find links to purchase laid out below:
