Ween Performs ‘The Mollusk’ In Its Entirety At Lengthy Oregon Show

If we’ve learned anything from Ween‘s most recent tour it’s to expect the unexpected, as the band dug deep into their catalog during the first half of their summer run to repeatedly offer up a number of rarities and bust-outs. Last night the New Hope, Pennsylvania rockers once again surprised fans as they performed one of their albums in full during a lengthy show at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend, Oregon.

The band’s 30-song set saw Ween treat their Pacific Northwest fans to a complete performance of their sixth studio album The Mollusk, followed by a more traditional mix of tune from their songbook. The 1997 release features a slew of fan-favorites and tour staples including it’s title track, “I’ll Be Your Johnny On The Spot,” “Buckingham Green” and “Ocean Man.” The 14-song LP also includes a couple of a rarely played tunes, with the band performing it’s sixth ever attempt at “It’s Gonna Be Alright,” and their since 1998. The other bust-out came in the form of “Cold Blows The Wind,” which was played for just the third time ever by Ween and last played back in 2003.

The rest of the band’s show found them working their way through tunes like “Roses Are Free,” “Bananas And Blow,” “The HIV Song” and “Your Party.”
