Watch Mini-Documentary On New Aretha Franklin Symphonic Album ‘A Brand New Me’

Rhino Records is set to issue A Brand New Me: Aretha Franklin With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra this Friday, November 10. A mini-documentary presenting behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the album featuring Aretha Franklin and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has been released.

The new record is made up of a collection of 14 songs that includes re-imagined renditions of classics such as “Respect,” “Think,” “I Say A Little Prayer” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” Producers Nick Patrick and Don Reedman paired classic Queen Of Soul Atlantic Records vocal tracks with recordings made recently at Abbey Road Studios in London with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and backing vocalist Patti Austin.

Featuring interviews with Reedman, Patrick, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s James Williams and musician Nile Rodgers, watch the mini-documentary below:
