Watch Leonard Cohen’s ‘Leaving The Table’ Animated Video

Renowned singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen issued his final album You Want It Darker a few weeks prior to his death last year at the age of 82. An animated video for the album track “Leaving The Table” has been posthumously released.
Cohen’s album was among those making the 2017 Short List for the annual Polaris Music Prize honoring Canadian musicians. The video for “Leaving The Table” premiered at yesterday’s Polaris Music Prize Gala in which Lido Pimienta’s La Papessa was given this year’s award.
One of the nine songs making up You Want It Darker, Cohen is credited with writing “Leaving The Table.” Watch the animated video featuring several references to Cohen’s career — such as a bird on a wire — right here:
