Warren Haynes has never forgotten where he came from and apparently the feeling mutual. Haynes is one of eight musicians who will be inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame this fall. The guitarist/vocalist was raised in North Carolina and returns each December for his annual Christmas Jam concerts, which have led to the donation of over one and half million dollars to Habitat For Humanity.

In addition to Haynes, Gerald Alston of the Manhattans, country-rocker Eric Church, R&B/pop singer Chuck Jackson and Carolina beach music band The Fantastic Shakers will be inducted along with the deceased Jay Spell, Nappy Brown and The Rev. F.C. Barnes.

This year’s induction ceremony will take place at Gem Theater in Kannapolis October 15. The event is open to the public with tickets set to go on sale early this summer. Keep your eyes on the Hall’s official website for more details.
