The Warren HaynesAshes & Dust Tour continue on Thursday night at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York; where Warren and the Ashes & Dust Band (Jeff Sipe and ChessBoxer) were joined by opener Chris Stapleton for the start of their encore.

The group kicked off their one lengthy set with a cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Blue Sky” and followed it up with Warren’s ode to Jerry Garcia, “Patchwork Quilt.” Bob Dylan’s “One Cup Of Coffee.” Other covers performed last night included Bob Dylan’s “You Ain’t Going Nowhere,” “Ophelia” by The Band and Little Feat’s “Skin It Back.”

Kentucky-based singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton not only opened the show, but he joined Warren and the band for a cover of “In The Pines,” aka “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?,” to begin the encore. Gov’t Mule had performed the tune a number of times in the past. “Jessica” brought the show to a close.

The tour continues tonight at the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia.
