The second annual Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival concludes today in Florida. Last night, the event hosted a “PoWoW!” collaboration/superjam and the first footage to emerge comes from one of the acts tapped to participate – Vulfpeck. The Michigan funk band employed a drone to share particularly cool video of one of the performances from PoWoW! ’17.
In the video below we watch as Michael McDonald leads an ensemble that includes vocalist Solange, guitarist Eric Krasno, drummer Robert “Sput” Searight as well as Antwaun Stanley, the Snarky Puppy horns and members of Lawrence on The Doobie Brothers’ classic “What A Fool Believes.” The clip was shot by a drone and we love the expressions many of the musicians make. Check it out:
The members of Lawrence also shared an on-stage video. This one features many of the same musicians as well as GRiZ and Allen Stone on Earth Wind & Fire’s “Shining Star”:
