Vulfpeck Performs Live At SiriusXM Studios

Ann Arbor, Michigan-based funk outfit Vulfpeck recently recorded an in-studio live session at SiriusXM studios. The group was joined by regular collaborating vocalist Antwan Stanley during the performance for the The Jam Files series.
Vulfpeck offered their arrangement of Stevie Wonder’s funk favorite “Boogie On Reggae Woman” and their own “1612” which they recorded on their EP Fugue State. Multi-instrumentalist Jack Stratton described coming up with the title of the track, explaining:
I was subletting an Airbnb with a security code of “1612” and it just kept coming up. People texting me, “What’s the code?” Guys calling me, “Do you remember the code?” It just occurred to me that 1612 was really happening in my life at that point, and I wanted to lend some significance to it with that song.
