Vulfpeck Quietly Releases ‘MSG II’ Live Album On Streaming Services

Yesterday, Vulfpeck surprise-released their MSG II live album on all major services. The 24-track set contains every note the band played at their September 13, 2025 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Vulfpeck made vinyl copies of MSG II available for pre-sale four weeks ago. The presale for the double vinyl offering ends tomorrow, January 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The vinyl announcement was accompanied by the release of a concert film on YouTube (watch below).

The Michigan-birthed ensemble returned to MSG last September for the first time since their Garden debut in 2019. Legendary drummer Bernard Purdie and Evangeline each made guest appearances with Vulfpeck at the “World’s Most Famous Arena.”

A four-piece clarinet section was showcased on Vulfpeck’s first-ever cover of “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)” by Billy Joel, which was sung by Long Island native Theo Katzman. Additionally, keyboardist Charles Jones fronted the band on John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy” and Vulfpeck original “Baby I Don’t Know Oh Oh.”
