Vulfpeck Makes Bonnaroo Debut With Help From BØRNS & Antwaun Stanley

On Thursday the 15th annual installment of Bonnaroo began on The Farm in Manchester, Tennessee. One of the highlights came in a packed The Other Tent, where Ann Arbor funk quartet Vulfpeck made their Bonnaroo debut.

Vulfpeck continued a trend of welcoming guests to share the stage with them as BØRNS and Antwaun Stanley each sat-in with the band at Bonnaroo last night. BØRNS helped Vulfpeck through “Back Pocket,” while Stanley’s time on stage included versions of “1612” and covers of “Love & Happiness” by Al Green and Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish,” among others. Vulfpeck’s Theo Katzman led his mates on The Band’s “Up On Cripple Creek,” the set’s other cover. “Christmas In L.A.,” “Funky Duck” and “Beastly” were among additional favorites performed by the foursome last night.
