Volume.com has just relaunched its platform with a brand new look and an improved interface on both the fan and artist sides. Volume makes it easy to stream from any type of device: desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile and its app makes streaming and interaction fun for fans.

In addition to offering ticketed shows, artists can choose to receive tips or contributions for a cause or charity from viewers. They can also host lessons, Q&As, fundraisers, or anything else that fits with their brand and plans and they can set up subscription-based offers such as fan clubs.

Artists can also offer restreams of shows previously aired (for free or for a ticket). Volume.com has already building a track record within the jam community featuring The String Cheese Incident, Kris Myers of Umphrey’s McGee and Peter Levin of the Gregg Allman Band.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the coming year,” said John Keefe, A&R. “We’re planning to onboard a bunch of killer artists and festivals of all genres including jam, Americana, bluegrass, rock, and country, as well as create collaborations with independent labels. Most importantly, we are committed to always staying focused on the simple idea that the artist comes first. There’s a really good vibe going on over here at Volume.”

The artists who have recently presented livestreams include:

Kris Myers of Umphrey’s McGee’s holiday show The Slay Ride donated a portion of proceeds to Sharing Stops Suffering a mental health advocacy organization. The all-star jam show featured a once-in-a-lifetime, multi-genre collaboration with Maggie Rose, Billy Contreras, Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), Bill Evans, Emmanuel Echem (Lauren Daigle) and Taylor Hicks, just to name a few.

After his sudden heart transplant, Peter Levin & Friends restreamed a benefit for The American Heart Association and The Allman Brothers Band Big House Museum. It wasn’t just a celebration of Gregg Allman’s birthday, it was also a celebration of Peter’s life.

The String Cheese Incident streamed their home state Thanksgiving shows live from Mission Ballroom in Denver.

Famed music photographer Michael Weintrob launched his own Instrumenthead Live stage and brought many amazing artists through including Moon Taxi, Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon, Victor Wooten, Futureman, and Bob Lazetti.

Volume.com also hosted Wiz Khalifa, gaming and interacting with fans, KRS One from The Joint in Hollywood and Keifer Sutherland live from The Lighting 100 Studios in Nashville.
