Derek “DC” Corner was a music industry fixture who was a familiar face to those who attended festivals at the Spirit Of Suwannee Music Park and other events such as Jam Cruise and Phish festivals. Sadly, DC lost a long battle with cancer last night.

Corner was surrounded by friends and family as he peacefully passed away. Earlier this week The Nth Power performed a set for the Live From Aura Studios webcast series. Drummer Nikki Glaspie dedicated the group’s performance of the beautiful “Walk On Water” to DC. Take a look:
