Video | CBS This Morning Profiles Allman Brothers Band

Earlier today, CBS This Morning devoted nearly five minutes of this morning’s episode to The Allman Brothers Band, who play the final show of their 45-year career tonight at The Beacon Theatre in NYC.

Derek Trucks and Galadrielle Allman, Duane’s daughter, were among those who were interviewed for the piece, which dives into the long, illustrious and at-times tragic career of the band. We found it interesting Derek said “we’ll see, with that band never bet on it one way or the other” when asked whether tonight would be the final The Allman Brothers Band show. No matter, this evening’s performance certainly looks to be the final show as members of the band for guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes.
