When news broke recently of legendary blues guitarist B.B. King’s hospitalization and subsequent release to home hospice care, many fans around the world offered well wishes to the ill musician. Among those sharing good vibes with B.B. was 10-year-old guitar prodigy Toby Lee

Decked out in a tiger suit, the young English guitarist played an inspiring performance of the 89-year-old bluesman’s most well-known song “The Thrill Is Gone.” Lee added the message, “Get Well Soon Mr BB King -Love from Toby. I hope you get to see this!” and received a response from King’s daughter Rita King, as well as guitarist Linda Ludwig who claimed to have shared the video with B.B.

Earlier today, Rita and two of her siblings lost a court case they brought against B.B. King’s longtime business manager, Laverne Toney, in an attempt to take control of the ailing guitarists legal affairs. A judge ruled Toney would remain in control of King’s financial and legal matters, despite claims by the King children of elder abuse and theft of his savings by Toney.
