Vampire Weekend Confirms 1st Full Shows Since 2014

Vampire Weekend will return to the stage for their first full shows since 2014 next month. The band confirmed a pair of performances at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai, California on June 16 and 17.

The concerts in Ojai come in advance of a series of festival appearances that include slots at Lollapalooza and Fuji Rock. Richard Pictures have been tapped to open both the Saturday night and Sunday morning shows. Vampire Weekend are currently working on the long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Modern Vampires Of The City. As Stereogum noted, a comment on the group’s Instagram page notes they are “94.5%” done with the LP.

Tickets for both shows in Ojai go on sale Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. PT via the band’s website.
