Concord Records will issue singer-songwriter Valerie June’s new album The Order Of Time on March 10. NPR Music’s First Listen series has made the Tennessee-native, current Brooklyn-based musician’s sophomore LP available to stream in advance of next week’s official release.
The 12-song new album serves as the follow-up to June’s well-received 2013 debut, the Dan Auerbach and Kevin Augunas co-produced Pushin’ Against A Stone. June worked with producer Matt Marinelli on The Order Of Time, and enlisted the help of Norah Jones on piano on three songs and June’s father and brothers added vocals to a track as well.
