Umphrey’s McGee Announces Intimate Top Note Sessions Sonic Adventures

Umphrey’s McGee will roar back to life next month after a quiet fall with the Top Note Sessions performances. The recording session/concert/livestream hybrid events will be held on the 4th floor of Metro in their hometown of Chicago on December 10 and 11.

Presented to Nothing Too Fancy Music, “the band will pull back the curtain and stretch the day’s recording into an evening of live-streamed UM,” wrote Umphrey’s McGee in an announcement of Top Note Sessions. “Tune in from the comfort of home and watch a unique spin on couch tour unfold.”

Top Note Sessions will air on nugs.net as subscriber-exclusive livestreams. Umphrey’s McGee will start the broadcasts around 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11.

Umphrey’s McGee are putting 90 tickets per night on sale to fans who want to attend Top Note Sessions in person. Tickets will be distributed through a lottery. Registration is open now via Seated through Monday, November 25 at 12 p.m. CT. Those who purchase tickets will be able to take in the show through wireless headphones “to ensure the fidelity and clarity of the studio recording” and will receive a limited edition, screen-printed handbill for the event.
