Umphreys McGee To Perform Full Album Tonight

Last night, Umphrey’s McGee kicked off a two-night stand at Track 29 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Before the run started, keyboardist Joel Cummins advised UM would perform one of their albums in Chattanooga and after a bit of a fake out last night, it now appears tonight will be the night an LP gets played by the band.

Wednesday night’s show in Chattanooga began with “Andy’s Last Beer” and “Uncle Wally,” which is the way the group’s 2002 studio album Local Band Does OK starts. However, it was a fake out as UM diverted from the Local Band Does OK track list by performing “White Man’s Moccasins” as the third song of the evening. The official Umphrey’s Twitter account mentioned this about the non-performance of the album’s third song, “Hurt Bird Bath”:

In other UM-related news, this Saturday, February 7, Asheville Music Hall in Asheville, North Carolina will host a special Umphrey’s after show following the band’s performance at the local arena. The show will feature Umphrey’s guitarist Jake Cinninger and keyboardist Joel Cummins, the entire band of Tauk and very special guests who cannot be announced yet. Tickets for the late night event are only available at the door for $18 and to those 21 and over, as advance tickets have sold out.
