Umphrey’s McGee To Make Ravinia Debut This Summer

Hitting a concert at Ravinia in Highland Park, IL is a summer tradition for many Chicagoland music lovers. Umphrey’s McGee will join the long list of acts who’ve played Ravinia since it first opened in 1904 on July 25, when the sextet makes their debut at the venue.

For those unfamiliar, Ravinia -the nation’s oldest outdoor music festival site -features a beautiful pavilion and sprawling lawn. Those who purchase lawn tickets are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, tables, blankets and coolers with your own food and beverage. In other words, this won’t be your typical Umphrey’s McGee experience.

Umphrey’s keyboardist Joel Cummins has shared his thoughts on the band making their Ravinia debut on the Umphrey’s Blog. Tickets go on sale to Ravinia donors on March 5. An Umphrey’s Ticketing pre-sale begins on April 18 at 10 a.m. CT followed by the general on-sale through Ravinia.org on April 24.
