Umphrey’s McGee Takes Us Inside Studio For Hourglass Video

Earlier this month Umphrey’s McGee unveiled Similar Skin, a studio album that easily ranks among the best in the band’s history. Today, UM has shared the official video for Similar Skin track “Hourglass,” which puts us right in the studio for the recording of the tune. 
“Hourglass” was first played live by Umphrey’s at the Summer Camp Music Festival in 2011. After initially performing the tune a number of times that year and early the next, it became somewhat of a rarity as the band has only played “Hourglass” six times since April 17, 2012. We’re big fans of the studio version, especially Jake Cinninger’s multi-tracked guitar heroics at the end.
