Watch Umphrey’s McGee Offer ‘Sound Opinions’ In Chicago
Watch UM sit down to perform “In The Kitchen,” “Cut the Cable” and more for the show from WBEZ Chicago.

Umphrey’s McGee delivered a session for Sound Opinions back in August at the Goose Island Salt Shed Pub. The show from Chicago public radio station WBEZ saw UM sitting down for a mix of newer and older material.
Umphrey’s McGee captured their Sound Opinions session while in their homebase of Chicago for a concert with Eggy and Stolen Gin at The Salt Shed on August 23.

The band — guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger, bassist Ryan Stasik, percussionist Andy Farag, keyboardist Joel Cummins and drummer Kris Myers — included “Cut The Cable” for the somewhat stripped-down session, although the Similar Skin cut still rocked pretty hard. UM also played the 2014 album’s “Hourglass.”
Additionally, the session featured favorite “In The Kitchen” and “Pure Saturation,” the latter off 2022 studio album Asking For A Friend. Watch UM’s Sound Opinions session below:
