Umphrey’s McGee Shares First Single From ‘Reel To Real’ Soundtrack

Chicago sextet Umphrey’s McGee recently released the documentary Reel To Real for on-demand viewing via Vimeo and today announced a soundtrack for the film is forthcoming. Umphrey’s has issued the first taste of the soundtrack by unveiling “Gone For Good” exclusively on umlive.net and the nugs.net app.

The version of “Gone For Good” released today is a hybrid as Umphrey’s recorded the tune live on stage during a soundcheck and then finished it in the studio after the fact. An instrumental take on “Gone For Good” appears in Reel To Real, while UM debuted a vocal version on January 1 and have played the song six more times since.
