Umphrey’s McGee To Be Joined By Guests For ‘All Night Wrong’ At Major Rager

On Thursday, April 7, during Majors Week, Augusta, Georgia will host this year’s installment of The Major Rager. The one-day festival in Downtown Augusta at The Augusta Common will feature Umphrey’s McGee, The Revivalists and Earphunk. TAUKing McGee, a group featuring members of UM and TAUK will play an after-party. Today, Major Rager organizers have announced special guests set to join Umphrey’s McGee for an “All Night Wrong” set of covers at the event.
Umphrey’s McGee will be joined by the Trey Anastasio Band’s Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman for the “All Night Wrong” set at this year’s Major Rager. The sextet will also be assisted by members of the James Brown Band for their cover-filled performance in Augusta. Hartswick has a long history with Umphrey’s and has sat-in numerous times over the past decade. Watch Jennifer lead UM through “Barracuda” by Heart at Higher Ground in 2009:
The Major Rager is a benefit as organizers will donate a portion of proceeds to Turn Back The Clock charity, which aims to revitalize the historic Harrisburg neighborhood. The TAUKing McGee after-party will be held at Sky City. Tickets are available via Showclix.
