Umphrey’s McGee Guitarist Jake Cinninger Performs ‘Slate’ Piano Improvisation

Umphrey’s McGee shared video of Jake Cinninger improvising a new composition dubbed “Slate.” The guitarist shows off his piano skills on the new tune from his own Boondock Studios.

“Slate” seems to be so named as that’s what Jake yells into the microphones before launching into the almost classical piece. The new tune is an impressive composition from the UM shredder made all the more impressive by the fact that it was merely some “Improv ivory tickling” as Umphrey’s YouTube account puts it.
